We mined 148 volumes of the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and 71 volumes of Discovery and Excavation Scotland, building a database of Scottish crannogs and looking for indications of Neolithic origins.

In addition, the database generated through the data mining has aided in the machine learning detection of islets through aerial imagery and in the preparation of our 2022 fieldwork.
